A CALL TO INNACTION
First and Foremost, this website is meant to be a source of light. A light meant to guide and educate the reader and by teaching the knowledge of discerning the truths from falsehoods. Despite what I, DarklightTO (author and admin) may say or write when discussing any of the topics, the end gold is always teaching the truth. A truth that is meant to be an invitation for everyone to adopt, including those who were responsible for spreading falsehoods.
In other words, I am not making any assumptions about the true intentions of some of the people featured on this website. As far as I'm concerned, every falsehood was published by someone who believed it to be true. Therefore, everyone is responsible for their choice to believe in falsehoods and have no one to blame but themselves. You are the only one accountable for what you decided to believe, and I don't support any action taken, violent or otherwise, against any groups or individual whose ideas or teachings are refuted and denounced on this website. In the simplest terms i can think of, your religious scholars believed they were telling you the truth because they learned it from what they thought were trustworthy sources. This is the exact same reason why you also thought they were teaching you the truth. So, you are both guilty of the same Sin A sin that falls under the category of:

That's correct, outsourcing the task of learning about the CREATOR and his commands to a third party, is on par with (and the same as) associating partners with God.
That is why, you often find it mentioned with some derivative of حنيف , which means DIRECT FROM THE SOURCE. - Consider that we use the feminine version of the word as the arabic term for a faucet. I'm aware that you have a different understanding of the meaning of these Quranic terms, and you don't accept taking on a partner to be in charge of your religious affairs is this severe of a sin, I mean who has the TIME! Am I right?
